The second reason why Game Boy is so resilient is its battery. Game Boy’s playing life, like all the other gaming consoles, depends almost entirely on the capacity of the battery to last long. Game Boy’s battery is considered to be one of the most resilient and sturdy batteries ever conceived. This is why Game Boy players are able to play for longer periods, a feature which eventually brought down the other competitors who offered more design attributes. However, Pokemon is the one game that truly cemented the legacy of the console. This is because Pokemon made Game Boy even more popular despite the fact that competition has become significantly more intense. Indeed, there were many who thought that the Game Boy would not last very long with competitors like Sony’s PSP series. Despite the barrage of new games by PSP, however, Game Boy managed to keep its head up in the market with the creation of Pokemon. With this one game, Game Boy managed to be dominant.
The last attribute which made Game Boy popular is, of course, the brand and name itself. Basically, Nintendo is a world famous creator of high end and high tech games. As such, people are always anticipating every product that they make. Of course, there are disappointing moments along the way, but, overall, people still appreciate and buy the products made by the gaming giant Nintendo. Game Boy, in its own right, has become an important name, and it has had its own set of ardent followers.
