The Gameboy has gone a long way since its very first release in 1989. There have been many upgrades like Gameboy color, then Gameboy Advance, then the Nintendo DS. There were also Gameboy Micro, Gameboy Advance SP, and other variations. Now, the most recent offering Nintendo is giving gamers all around the world is the Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo 3DS is an upgrade to the Nintendo DS which offers 3D graphics without needing 3D glasses! Currently it is the most advanced incarnation of the Gameboy.

 

Features that make the Nintendo 3DS awesome

 

3D Graphics – the Nintendo 3DS is capable of displaying amazing quality 3D graphics. This is the first handheld gaming system that fully features this technology. You do not even have to use 3D glasses. You will experience high-tech gaming which was previously only available on home consoles and with using 3D glasses.
3D Depth Slider – the Nintendo 3DS has a slider which controls the intensity or depth of the 3D setting. Some people may find the 3D too much. This slider will help those people adjust the 3D setting to the level they are comfortable with. This slider can also turn off the 3D feature of the Nintendo 3DS completely and allows it to be played like a normal Nintendo DS.
Motion and Gyro Sensors – the Nintendo 3Ds offers a new way of playing and controlling the game with its Motion and Gyro censors. There are special games that are built especially for the Nintendo 3DS that uses motion sensors and gyro sensors. This means that the game can be played by tilting or moving the Nintendo 3DS.
Dual Screens – like its brother, the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS still has two screens. The upper screen is capable of displaying 3D images at the resolution of 800×240. The lower screen is still the touch screen. It is a bit smaller then the upper screen. The lower screen has a 320×240 resolution.
3D Camera – the Nintendo 3DS feature two cameras found outside the unit. This takes 3D pictures, videos, and even be used to create stop-motion animation. The Nintendo 3DS is not just an ordinary handheld gaming unit! Take the Nintendo 3DS and capture life-like images similar to what the human eye can see.
Stylus – the Nintendo 3DS comes with an adjustable stylus which will be perfect for people with larger hands. Since the stylus; length can be adjusted, players will be able to use the Nintendo 3DS stylus easier.
StreetPass – this new feature of the Nintendo 3DS allows the owners to communicate wirelessly with other Nintendo 3DS owners and exchange game data with each other. This feature even done automatically! When the Nintendo 3DS in stand-by of sleep mode, every time another owner of the Nintendo 3DS pass by, game data that you wish to share is automatically transferred to the other Nintendo 3DS and vice versa. The player controls which data file they wish to share with others.
SpotPass – the Nintendo 3DS is capable of connecting to wireless hotpots. To make things better, some bonus and exclusive contents can automatically be downloaded to the Nintendo 3DS with the SpotPass feature. This is done automatically, and owner will just be surprised that a new game content or bonus movie has been added to your Nintendo 3DS for free!
